AIRE Ancient Baths New York · Upper East Side

AIRE New York · Upper East Side ®

Among the high-rise architecture of New York City's Upper East Side, AIRE is housed in a building that is now over 120 years old. For a moment in time, it was a warehouse used by wealthy patrons of uptown Manhattan to store precious items. Later, some of the world's most renown museums entrusted this space to house their most valuable collections. As recently as 2010, the building was a main storage facility for the iconic Museum of Modern Art (MoMA). Now these historic walls hold a new purpose, with over 9,600 square feet devoted to wellness and relaxation. As an AIRE Location, this elegant scenario embodies a rich tapestry of inspiration and tradition, keeping one special key element that makes it stand out even more, our emblematic salt bath, the Flotarium, is suspended from the ceiling.

The Aire Experience

You are about to discover what the AIRE Experience is all about. Let yourself be carried away by your surroundings, a unique space where true relaxation awaits.

Be guided by candlelight while the aroma of orange blossom fills the air. Silence merges with the murmur of the water.

Immerse yourself in the baths, as a relaxing melody accompanies your journey, even underwater. Surrender to the sensation of floating. Walk through drops of warm, light, eucalyptus-scented steam. Focus on your breathing and the sensations of the oils as they fall on your skin. Breathe deeply, feel the total and absolute relaxation of mind and body.
